On June 3rd we started our season of centenary parties at The Larrik in Marylebone, London.
Customers and colleagues, old and new joined the management and sales team to celebrate the company’s 100th year in business.
In an atmosphere of relaxed celebration guests were free to mingle and catch up. The only interruption to the flow of ale and conversation were delicious servings of fish and chip nibbles, and of course Yorkshire Puddings!
Alfred Brown looks forward to several events in the coming weeks with customers, suppliers and employees to celebrate 100 years manufacturing fine worsted fabric.
The company was inaugurated on 2nd July 1915. It was started by Leeds businessman Herbert Brown and is still owned by Brown family members today. A centenary booklet will be available later in the year charting the company’s textile past.
